experience of life and energy! Being the present and in the present: this capacity of the different populations who live in Ghana-Togo-Benin make them able of celebrating life joyfully. Collective emotions can fill in particular moments all the villages and the joy of life appears in colors, mouvements, sounds. Frenetic dances, wild rhythms, masks who walk-dance-run, royal palaces full of dignitaries sumptuosly decorated. All these special events extend in everyday life and trasform every social moment in a kinf of festival: women and children at the market, believers who go to the mosque or to the church, shepherds gathering around the wells. The sense of holiday pervade every socal moment and the smile who enlighten the faces is the reflection of sociai relations relaxed and harmonious. One of the highlights of the trip is the vudu, religion bonr tin the south of Togo and Benin and exported all over the world, beginning from South and Center America, with the slave trade.
