TransAfrica Contest 2007

First edition

TransAfrica organizes a contest for stories and photos of travels in West Africa.

Texts – stories, experiences, journals, of maximum 4.000 characters, in italian, french or english – have to be sent within January 31st 2008 to transafrica@transafrica.biz

Photos – digital format, resolution 300 dp, maximum 3.000 pixel – have also to be sent within January 31st 2008 to transafrica@transafrica.biz adding a legend with the country, the period (month and year) and circumstance of the shot.

Texts and photos have to be signed, with first and family name, address and phone number of the author.

On April 15th 2008 the names of the winners for both categories will be published on the website www.transafrica.biz and the authors will received a communication by email.

Texts and photos – not only of the winners, but all the best ones – will be published on the website.

First prize for both categories - texts and photos – is a voucher of 1.000 euro to be used for anyTransafrica travel, departing within December 31st 2009

Second prize for both categories is the book “African Ceremonies” by Angela Fisher and Carol Beckwith.

Third prize for both categories is an year subscription to teh monthly magazine National Geographic.

Texts and photos will be selected by an unappealable jury of experts of Africa , reporters and journalists.
